Bellfield Park, Inverness, benefits from significant upgrade
A very special Matrix unit takes pride of place in Bellfield Park, Inverness, where a transformation of the play area has made a huge difference to outdoor facilities for the local community.
Following public consultation with local residents, user groups and schools and opened by Provost, Jimmy Gray, this Victorian park has something for all ages. Glasgow-based Mclays Supplies has installed a wide variety of play products and furniture in the riverside park. With investment from the Common Good Fund and seven Inverness ward discretionary funds, this refurbishment has significantly upgraded the area and has been highly praised.
On opening the improved facilities, Provost Jimmy Gray, said: “Bellfield Park is a great asset to Inverness and I am delighted the new equipment and upgrade has given it an eagerly-awaited facelift. I would like to thank everyone who took part in the public consultation. This park is for people of all ages and interests to enjoy and their input was a great help when choosing the new equipment.”
So, from one of the earliest products manufactured by Mclays' parent company - Wicksteed Playscapes - the popular Rocking Horse, to the innovative and inspiring Matrix, this park now has it all!
