Destination Play Area in Scottish Borders
28/07/2010
This Destination Play Area was designed and installed by Mclays Supplies Ltd, in conjunction with Scottish Borders Council to replace an old traditional play area in the town centre.
Exciting and challenging equipment was chosen for this difficult site in order to provide a focal point at the new bus station and car park areas. Mclays Supplies Limited of Glasgow provided innovative, state of the art playground equipment included a huge timber Tree House as a centre piece - incorporating many novel features such as a Double Bannister Slide, Access Nets, Stilt Access Steps to upper Viewing Deck levels and Trapeze Rings.
A reveted mound with built-in tunnel and wide stainless steel slide has been installed for the more adventurous toddlers, as well as a more traditional toddlers play area with Rocking Spring Donkey and Camel and a Woodland multi-play system.
Talking Flowers make an interesting diversion for kids to have interactive fun.
Revolva - Mclays' inclusive roundabout is ideal for both wheelchair bound and able-bodied children alike and the park also boasts an Aero Skate Unit for those children with a Snowboarding or Skiing flair.
Altogether - with its special colourful rubber safer play surfacing and ground graphics - Desination Park, Jedburgh will welcome visitors for years to come.
