SCOTSTURF 2004 - Mclays win the 'quaich'.

Norman Hopkins, Mclays' Sales Manager, was thrilled to bits. "We've hoped for this accolade for many years," he said, "and now we've succeeded. It's particularly heartening that the award takes the form of the "Andrew Murray Quaich", a welcome cup named after a man whose memory is well respected in the industry."

It was a recently launched product entitled 'Rock' that provided the centrepiece for Mclays' display. One of seven blockbusting units in the new Teenager Park range, which brings a new kind of architecture to multi-play equipment, Rock is packed with refreshingly different play features designed to attract teenagers.

A wholly owned subsidiary of Wicksteed Leisure Limited, Mclays have a far wider range of sports and play equipment to offer Scottish customers than any other company. The addition of Teenager Park to their portfolio created a lot of interest at Scotsturf from customers who travelled from as far away as the Orkneys.

Accompanying this star of the show were Jet-Ski, Windsurfer and Space Rocker, three examples of other new products from Mclays from their ever-increasing range of Spring Mobiles.

Trying to represent everything they do can cause Mclays a wee problem, no matter how big the stand. So beautiful table-top models of Rotaweb Climber and Spacenet were also there, to show Mclays' splendid series of Activity Nets covering a wide age range.

"Orders actually taken by Mclays on the stand," continued Norman, "are expected to top a record figure of £75,000. This is just one indication of the way our success builds year on year. We owe this, in no small part, to Wicksteed's support and their tireless introduction of innovative play products such as Teenager Park that capture the imagination of our Scottish customers."
