Wicksteed launch new catalogue

FEBRUARY 2005

Wicksteed Leisure are proud to announce the April 1st publication of their brand new 184-page, large-format catalogue, which celebrates innovation and unveils a host of new play concepts.

Think of a playground and what do you see in your mind's eye? Slides, swings, roundabouts and see-saws? Or new-fangled multi-play extravaganzas and weird shapes that spin and bounce about? The development of play equipment has certainly been phenomenal since Mr Charles Wicksteed, founding father of Wicksteed Leisure, made his first swing for local children in 1918.

Following in his pioneering footsteps, Wicksteed Leisure offer the best in traditional play favourites, whilst continuously embracing the spirit of adventure. Many new products featured in the forthcoming catalogue may well have set the minds of Northamptonshire folk boggling all those decades ago.

Electro multi-play system is a unique play and social experience. Electro Rap is one of seven refreshingly new, exercise-stimulating, lastingly robust mega units in steel & aluminium, incorporating its own zone for friends to sit and chat. It's what 8 to 16 year-olds have been waiting for!

Nine new multi-play units in the popular exotic Tropica range have been created. Tropica Costa Rica is one of these and shows product development inspired by children of all abilities from 2 to 12 at play.

Crazy Twister is a very affordable roundabout. Its small diameter belies the huge spinning sensation it creates for 8 to 14 year-olds.

Jet-Ski

As for springy thingies, Wicksteed have designed some new experiences that are really cool for tots and tweenies. Bet you didn't see jet-skis or windsurfers in your imaginary typical playground!

Judging by the look of achievement on this little chap's face, Commando Challenge is a challenge indeed, when you're very small! This crafty new climbing frame from the 'Tot Spot' section of the new catalogue comprises carefully designed play features to cater for wee climbers from the very courageous to the slightly more timid. It adds healthy exercise and agility development to the fun of a toddler playground. A far cry from those climbing frames of yesteryear.

Wicksteed's brand new catalogue will be out in April 2005. For further product information and your copy, contact Wicksteed Leisure Limited, Digby Street, Kettering, Northamptonshire, NN16 8YJ. TELEPHONE 0141 774 9784, fax 01536 410633, e-mail sales@mclaysplay.com
