Wicksteed Playscapes enters the edgy and exciting world of parkour, with schemes designed by the world's leading professionals such as Parkour Generations, and endorsed by the sport's governing body, Parkour UK.

Parkour – also known as free running, is a growing phenomenon to the UK, and to give it the dictionary definition is a “sport or athletic activity in which the participant seeks to move as quickly and fluidly as possible through an area, often urban, by surmounting obstacles such as walls and railings and leaping across open spaces, as in a stairwell or between buildings.”

The sport is supported by the Association for Physical Education and the Youth Sports Trust and is becoming popular both in secondary schools and community areas.

The two parkour training zones that Wicksteed offers here have been designed in conjunction with Parkour Generations and meet the BSI UK safety standards as implemented by the National Governing Body - www.parkouruk.org.

Wicksteed has an exclusive commercial arrangement with Parkour Generations and all Wicksteed parkour facilities are Parkour UK approved and provide a challenge for both novice and seasoned parkour practitioners.
