All Mclays playground safety surface concepts have been rigorously tested and certified as appropriate to BS EN 1177: 1998 and BS 7188: 1998 standards.

There can be no room for compromise over the children’s safety when enjoying our play area equipment.

We supply and install 4 safety surface systems:

  1. Safety Tiles - available in 4 bright colours and 4 individual thicknesses.
  2. Continuous Safety Surfacing - supplied in a wide range of 9 colour finishes and in any thickness. (Please specify details when ordering).
  3. Safety Grass - a honeycomb matting design which is ideal for installing onto - or adjacent to - grass areas.
  4. Safety Bark - for installation into a bark pit and ideally suited for adventure play areas designed in woodland environments.

Individuals will find, whatever your preference in impact absorbtion for the children, Mclays’ have tested it, supplied it, installed it and seen the children protected by it.

We operate installation services across every part of Scotland - and across into the UK - using trained playground safety technicians. The teams are headed by Contract Managers focused on ensuring projects are undertaken and compliant with BS EN 1176 Safety Standards.

There is no room for compromise when it comes to installing Safety Surface materials in any playground or adventure play area.

Clients wishing to arrange their own ‘Surface’ installations will be provided with clear instructions and technical specifications.

Each item of play equipment supplied by Mclays has a specified Playground Safety Surface recommendation in accordance with BS EN 1176 standards - and it is clearly identified in each product entry on our website.
