Safety Tiles

Each thickness - within our Safety Tile range - has been rigorously tested in accordance with BS EN 1177: 1998 and BS 7188: 1998 standards.

They are ideal for ALL playground surface areas where the requirement is to meet a prerequisite Maximum Free Fall Height.

The tiles are non-slip, non abrasive and porous. You will have a virtually ‘maintenance free’ playground surface area.

The tiles are guaranteed for 5 - years, excluding normal wear and tear, accidental damage, floods, and acts of vandalism.

Continuous Safety Surfacing

An ideal installation where Safety Surfacing is an essential requirement up to the appropriate Maximum Free Fall Height.

You can choose from 9 individual colour surfaces as well as introduce either flecked or graphic enhancements into the surface area.

Deliberately designed as non-slip, non-abrasive and porous (surface puddles will not appear), the material will not retain water and make a surface slippery or dangerous for children.

Mclays’ multi-thickness options give designers and safety experts an added insurance of laying a Safety Surface to a thickness they prefer. Any thickness can be ordered.

Being virtually maintenance free and supplied with a 5-year guarantee, (excluding normal wear and tear, flood damage, accidental damage or acts of vandalism), makes Continuous Safety Surfacing an ideal solution for your play area requirements.

Safety Grass

Where grass is a prominent feature of your play area design, our honeycomb matting is the ideal answer to your safety features.

Turf will grow THROUGH the matting cells and ensure the surface blends in with the landscaped play area.

CAUTION should be exercised in using Safety Grass as a playground surface around and under play equipment with a Free Fall Height of over 2 metres.

Safety Grass carries a 5-year guarantee, excluding flood damage, acts of vandalism, accidental damage or normal wear and tear.

Safety Bark

Eco-friendly Safety Bark offers designers of certain play area installations a very popular alternative Safety Surface.

A low cost natural material, it can help keep budgets to a minimum, or offer a play area designer a reduced cost Safety Surface around smaller, static equipment for toddlers.
