Skateboarding Ramps

Creating the ramps and challenges for skateboarders, rollerbladers and BMX bikers can turn youngsters’ free-time into an exhilarating experience.

Skateboard Ramp

It’s far more cost-effective - as an investment - than seeing young skateboarders making a nuisance of themselves in towns’ and cities’ paved and precincted areas.

Neither the elderly or frail enjoy speed skateboarders whizzing past them on the pavement at breakneck speeds.

Mclays’ experts work very closely with Scottish customers to design skateparks which are a magnet for skateboard enthusiasts.

Location, budget, size, visual impact and incline challenges will all be taken into consideration to achieve your optimum skatepark goal.

Configurations are presented as ‘virtual reality’ images, so that concepts can be discussed, re-designed and modified to achieve the ultimate skatepark (and within budget parameters).

Our NEW GENERATION of Wicked Wheel skateboard areas can - and will - include ramps and jumps to challenge experienced skaters, boarders and bikers, as well as readily accommodate the levels of less experienced skateboarders.

Ramp Surface Options

  1. Skatelite Pro skateboarding ramps surface - a compressed fibre laminate, used extensively in US Skate Parks and in international competitions. The substrate material is a coated plywood which prevents water ingress and absorbs noise. The Skatelite material is bonded onto the substrate of the skateboarding ramps to form the smooth surface with low noise properties.
  2. All Metal skateboarding ramps surface - 4mm fully welded mild steel plate, coated with two layers of black, anti-slip paint. This skateboard ramp surface is solid, thus any potential noise is deadened.

All support structures within Mclays’ skateboarding ramps incorporate footplates and grind edges made of galvanised steel.

The range includes Double Ramp, Junior Jump, Fun Box with Grind Rail, Twin Grindwall Funbox, Grinding Steps, Twin Banks, Flat Bank Corner Box and Grind Walls, High Jump Box, Quarter Pipe, Standard Half Pipe with Extended Quarter Pipe, High Half Pipe and Standard Half Pipe.

Wicked Wheels Skateboard/Rollerblade Areas are designed using a selection of skateboarding ramps, enabling the design of individual wheeled sport facilities conforming to BS PAS 35. It is important to check for compliance with British Standards when purchasing skateboarding ramps.
