Roundabouts for playgrounds by Mclays Supplies

All metalwork on Mclays roundabouts is pre-treated with a zinc metal thermal spray, finished with a polyester powder coating conforming to BS 5665 and EN 71.

Mclays offer seven roundabouts covering 2 to 16 year-olds, all Kitemarked to BS EN 1176. Our roundabouts have slip-resistant metal decks, sturdy rails, rounded edges and enclosed mechanisms. The range of roundabouts includes units with an optional hydraulic speed restrictor. This prevents excessive spinning speeds, whilst offering no resistance to rotation at lower speeds.

Turnstile - Age range 2 to 5
With a diameter of 375mm, the Turnstile is the most compact of our roundabouts. It is easy to install and has with long-life bearings.

Speedway - Age range 2 to 5
These attractive, compact roundabouts feed the imagination of toddlers and provide them with a great deal of fun. A hydraulic speed restrictor is available for this model.

Whirly Bird - Age range 2 to 5 with cradle seats or 4 to 7 with
standard seats
With a choice of seats for these roundabouts, children can play on Whirly Bird safely, however young they may be.

Sputnik - Age range 2 to 5
Toddlers grip the static centre wheel of these roundabouts and turn the outer frame. The core is mounted at a 5° angle to help keep the Sputnik turning.

Spiro-Whirl - Age range 5 to 12
The all-metal construction of these 2-metre roundabouts is ideal for play areas where vandalism can be a problem. A hydraulic speed restrictor is available for this model.

Rota-rider - Age range 6 to 14
These are 2.5 metre diameter, heavy-duty roundabouts. The Rota-rider is available with our hydraulic speed restrictor.

Hang-Glider - Age range 12 to 16
Pretty unusual as roundabouts go, Hang-Glider provides great energetic fun for teenagers.

Mclays strongly recommend the installation of Safety Tiles or Continuous Safety Surfacing under roundabouts.
