Most kids would agree that slides make playgrounds complete. The first thing most children do when seeking fun and laughter in a playground is race up to the slides. Letting go is something that gets easier as they grow.

All metalwork on Wicksteed slides is pre-treated with a zinc metal thermal spray, finished with a polyester powder coating conforming to BS 5665 and EN 71 and fastened with tamper-resistant fixings.

Our Pedestal Slides have three height options spanning the ages of 4 to 14 years and Kitemarked to BS EN 1176.
Wide Slides are designed for integrated play, where children with special needs can play alongside their able-bodied friends or be assisted by carers. They are wide enough to accommodate a child and a helper where necessary and play panels from our Tropica Multi-Play range, i.e. Jungle Clock, Coral Abacus, Clown Face Panel and Dolphin Tactile Panel can be incorporated at the lower level of these slides if desired.
Our Embankment Slides for 5 to 12 year olds have six lengths to choose from, ideal for sloping sites. An ingenious way of converting a sloping area, which may be little used, into an attractive play feature, our Embankment Slide is ideal for a bank with a gradient of approximately 30º. We recommend we carry out a site survey for Embankment Slides, prior to providing you with a quotation, in order to ensure the design suits your exact requirements.

Pedestal and Wide Slides have space-saving strong pedestal supports with no projections, for safety and ease of installation. All Mclays' slides have split tube safety edges.

Mclays offer a choice of three different quality Safety Surfacing systems suitable for Slides: Safety Tiles, Continuous Safety Surfacing and Safety Grass. We do not recommend bark under slides.

No Safety Surface is required for Embankment slides.
