Swinging freely. swaying serenely. flying through the air - the swing never loses its acrobatic appeal.
No matter what age - from toddlers to teenagers and adults - the swing is an hypnotic magnet. It can be invigorating, fun and therapeutic for everyone. It’s always an invitation to relax and exercise at the same time.
At Mclays we offer a wide choice of traditional and unusual designs: there’s something for everyone and every age range.
All our metal swings are robust and require very little maintenance: their steel construction has been pre-treated with zinc metal thermal spray and covered with an anti-corrosion polyester coating.
Numerous safety features and ant-vandal components give Mclays’ swings a very high product specification.
The range includes:
- Traditional Swings Kitemarked to BS EN 1176 in a range of heights.
- Arch Swings Kitemarked to BS EN 1176 with one or two bays, one to four seats, and in a range of different heights.
- Cantilever Swing Kitemarked to BS EN 1176 - seats are made from reclaimed tyres in line with our Environmental Policy.
- Wooden Frame Swing Kitemarked to BS EN 1176. Ideal for parkland sites and built using timber from managed forests with tree replacement programmes.
Safety and Anti-Vandal features add to their unique status including:
- Integral Safety Barriers on Arch Swings and Safety Guards available for Traditional designs, to protect children from swinging seats.
- Rotating Swing Bearings (as standard) features on both Traditional and Arch Swings, to eliminate the problem of tangled chains.
- Sturdy, durable, anti-corrosion, sure-grip Twist Link Safety Chains, to keep little children’s hands safe.
- Key link connections, to allow easy height adjustment of swings.
Mclays strongly advocate the installation of our Safety Tiles or Continuous Safety Surface under and around any swing area. It is not advisable to put Safety Grass or Safety Bark beneath swings.
Procurement buyers in Scotland - in both the public and private sector - can buy from Mclays with confidence.
Our wealth of experience and expertise is recognised across the country from the Borders to the Scottish Highlands.
